Based on the true events surrounding an infamous art theft in 1974, BALTIMORE tells the story of English heiress, Rose Dugdale, born into the very definition of the English landed gentry only to become an IRA volunteer. Dugdale rebelled against the traditional path set for her, becoming radicalised and going on to volunteer in the Irish Republican Army in the wake of the Bloody Sunday atrocities in Northern Ireland in 1972. Baltimore traces this radicalisation by focusing on a key event in Dugdale’s life - the IRA armed art theft of Russborough House in 1974 - which would both define her but also see her being sent to prison for 10 years. Baltimore is a political thriller which explores the remarkable radicalisation of one of the most surprising women of the twentieth century.
