It has been termed a punk ‘Abigail’s Party’ and ‘An Edward Hopper painting commissioned by Monty Python’.

Screen attendance was very high with an average of 87%. All the venues where Chunky Monkey was shown throughout the UK requested the films return for further performances. It was also selected for the Rome Independent Film Festival in April 2005. Revolver Entertainment picked up the film for further theatrical distribution in August 2005 and released the film on DVD on August 22nd. Chunky Monkey was released on DVD in the USA by World Film Magic in April 2007.
