Line Up

Nicole Stevens (Tessa Thompson), a hardworking, single woman who lives with and cares for her aging mother (Whoopi Goldberg) and works part-time at a local jail, gets the chance to prove herself when she is tasked with accompanying Joan Anderson, a free-spirited and unruly prisoner, on an emergency furlough to visit Anderson's dying mother. Their 36-hour journey goes hilariously - and also movingly - awry, as the two woman become, against all odds, the unlikeliest of friends. With a supporting cast that includes Academy Award winner Anna Paquin, Edgar Ramirez, La La Anthony and Michael Chernus, Furlough is a trip not to be missed.

Dalí Land tells the story of the later years of the strange and fascinating marriage between the genius Salvador Dalí and his tyrannical wife, Gala, as their seemingly unshakable bond begins to stress and fracture. Set in New York and Spain in 1973, the story is told through the eyes of James, a young assistant keen to make his name in the art world who helps the eccentric and mercurial Dalí prepare for a big gallery show. While James hopes to learn about the man behind the creation of such incredible art, he instead steps into a rabbit hole of glittering parties, salons, searing personal battles and an art world awash with money and corruption. The young man gets to know both the public and private Dalí as the artist works hard to distract himself from his ever present fear of death and his anxiety over his wife's growing obsession with her new, young lover. DALÍ LAND explores the little known private life of one the greatest artists of the 20th century.
